Project officer
Currently Marit works at the Foundation Climate Adaptation Services were she manages and contributes to different climate adaptation projects. One of her main current projects is managing and updating the Dutch knowledge portal on climate adaptation.
Marit started her career at the Dutch research programme Climate Changes Spatial Planning where she was responsible for coordinating and monitoring 15 different projects in the field of climate change for more than 4 years. She contributed to and edited publications and made sure that scientific knowledge was accessible for policy makers. She was (co) work package leader for two EU projects (FP6 CIRCLE & its follow-up FP7 CIRCLE2) where she (co)organized several international workshops to share knowledge on climate adaptation and promote long term cooperation among national and regional climate change programmers (34 institutions from 23 countries). She also worked as a scientific project officer at the Dutch research programme Knowledge for Climate. Here she coordinated different projects such as the review of the quality of the preferential strategies and the Delta Decisions of the Dutch Delta Programme.
